About the Role

As a Survey Technician at LNM1968, you'll assist Party Chiefs and surveyors with field data collection, equipment setup, and surveying tasks. You'll gain experience with GPS/GNSS, total stations, and digital levels while supporting topographic surveys, boundary work, and ground control operations for LiDAR projects.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their surveying skills and advance in the profession.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with field survey operations and data collection
  • Set up and operate survey equipment under supervision
  • Maintain survey equipment and ensure proper care
  • Record field notes and measurements
  • Perform rod work and prism operations
  • Support office tasks including data downloads and file organization

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in surveying or related field
  • Basic understanding of survey principles and equipment
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in various conditions
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Skills

  • Associate degree in Surveying or Geomatics
  • Familiarity with Trimble or Leica equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good work ethic and attention to detail
