Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role

As Quality Assurance Manager at LNM1968, you'll establish and maintain quality standards for all geospatial data products including LiDAR point clouds, DEMs, orthophotos, hydrographic surveys, and CAD deliverables. You'll develop QA/QC workflows, conduct accuracy assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

This position requires expertise in surveying accuracy standards, spatial data quality metrics, and quality management systems within the geospatial industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for all survey and mapping projects
• Conduct quality audits and accuracy assessments of deliverables
• Review and validate LiDAR data, DTMs, contours, and orthophotos
• Ensure compliance with ASPRS, NOAA, USACE, and other industry standards
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes
• Train staff on quality control procedures and best practices
• Prepare quality control reports and documentation
• Maintain quality management system and ISO compliance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field
• 5+ years experience in surveying/mapping quality assurance
• Expert knowledge of ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standards
• Experience with LiDAR data quality assessment tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
• Six Sigma or quality management certification
• ISO 9001 quality management system experience
• Familiarity with NOAA hydrographic standards
• Experience with point cloud processing software
