About the Role

As a Project Manager at LNM1968, you'll oversee complex LiDAR and hydrographic mapping projects, working with advanced geospatial technologies and coordinating teams of surveyors, hydrographers, drone pilots, and data analysts. You'll be responsible for project planning, budget management, quality assurance, and client communications throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of surveying and mapping methodologies, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and close LiDAR and mapping projects on time and within budget
  • Coordinate field operations including aerial surveys, hydrographic surveys, and ground control
  • Manage project teams including surveyors, CAD technicians, and GIS specialists
  • Develop project schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain client relationships and provide regular project status updates
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control procedures
  • Review and approve project deliverables including point clouds, DTMs, orthophotos, and CAD drawings
  • Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management for surveying or mapping projects
  • Strong understanding of LiDAR, photogrammetry, and hydrographic survey methodologies
  • Proficiency with project management software and geospatial data processing tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential

Preferred Skills

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
  • Experience with marine hydrographic surveys and NOAA standards
  • Familiarity with government contracting and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and point cloud processing software
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
