About the Role

As an FAA Certified Drone Pilot at LNM1968, you'll operate UAVs for aerial photography, LiDAR data collection, photogrammetry, thermal inspections, and infrastructure surveys. You'll conduct flight planning, execute missions, process imagery, and ensure safe operations in compliance with FAA regulations.

This position requires FAA Part 107 certification, flight experience, technical knowledge of drone systems, and ability to work independently on diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct UAV flight operations for mapping and inspection projects
  • Plan flight missions and obtain necessary airspace authorizations
  • Operate drones equipped with cameras, LiDAR, and thermal sensors
  • Ensure compliance with FAA Part 107 regulations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot drone equipment
  • Process imagery and deliver data to project teams
  • Complete flight logs and safety documentation

Required Qualifications

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required)
  • 2+ years commercial drone flight experience
  • Experience with DJI, Autel, or professional UAV systems
  • Knowledge of flight planning software
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel
  • Physical ability to work outdoors and carry equipment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with LiDAR-equipped drones
  • Photogrammetry and GIS knowledge
  • Thermal imaging and infrastructure inspection experience
  • Manned aircraft pilot license
  • Photography and videography skills
